my name is justin.
i'm a daft ruby/rails/js/unix/c++ hacker/developer from the late 90s underground, enjoys being toffee-nosed and obsessing over electronic music (no, not what YOU call "techno").
Have you noticed that whenever Obama talks about his Healthcare program, he always refers to the fact that as his mother was dying of cancer. “She was more worried about her medical bills than getting well.” He tells that story so that we “little” people feel he understands us.
That always bothers me, because I wondered if he was old enough to have taken that worry away from her by “handling” the situation for her while she was ill. I honor the sacrifices of my family and mother greatly so I can relate to his “worry”. Anyway, I did some Google research, didn’t take much, and I learned some other things along the way.
Well, he was 34 years old when his mother died. While living in Indonesia, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1994 and returned to Hawaii to be with her mother. Obama was already a graduate of law school and apparently was writing a book because in 1995, the very year his mother died, he published an autobiography “Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.” And he won a Grammy for the audio version of the book. Obama’s advocacy work led him to run for the Illinois State Senate as a Democrat. He was elected in 1996 from the south side neighborhood of Hyde Park.
So, that explains it! He didn’t have time to take the worry away from his mother during her last days because he was writing a book and running for the Senate. Apparently he tells us it broke his heart to watch her suffer with worry, but did nothing about it.
Just some other facts that I am not too crazy about for a man who wants to be our great and honorable Commander in Chief.
His mother was pregnant with him when she married his father (1961).
There are no document’s stating that his father was legally divorced from his first wife when he married Obama’s mother.
His father left when he was 2 and went on to multiple other marriages.
When he was 6 his mother remarried and she had a daughter (where the heck is she?). The bio stuff says she’s a teacher in Hawaii, have I missed her campaigning for him?
Barack was sent to Hawaii to live with his grandparents. His mother stayed in Indonesia with the sister and husband.
The mother divorced her second husband when he was 19 and moved to Hawaii for a bit.
The mother was an atheist but considered herself to be an “intellectual” so she had religious books around for her children to “explore” religions. Nothing against atheists, cause I respect their belief in nothing, but, an atheist that encourages their children to study all religions? Fascinating.
He is only “close” to one brother, Malik, who is a Muslim.
Obama joined a prominent Black church in Chicago clearly for political connections (I think it was Harpo’s church too for a while), and says he didn’t know THAT FOR 20 YEARS the pastor gave hate America and hate white people sermons. Frankly, I would prefer a more alert President.
He chose a “former” terrorist to help him kick off his campaign for the Senate.
If he didn’t know he was a terrorist, when did he find that out?
Does he denounce what this guy did? And if so, why does he feel this man deserves to teach impressionable college students today?
The terrorist BOMBED ABORTION CLINICS amongst other government buildings, so I guess this is the factor that made Obama pro-choice?
After being an attorney for the left-wing activist group ACORN, does he denounce the rampant voter fraud happening in his favor?
After bailing out Fannie and Freddie, is he ready to put on trial some of the Democrats in his campaign that cooked the books and setup the sub-prime, no interest, mortgages that so many low/no income families were “entitled” to.
After bailing out Fannie and Freddie, is he ready to denounce his training of ACORN activists and how he trained them to battle “banks” and get low/no income families into houses they couldn’t afford?
Will he ever state he was wrong on the “Surge” in Iraq? Or wrong about anything in his life other then his “drug use”.
I don’t see any solid foundation for Obama to build his character on, not to mention the four years as a Senator that has divinely blessed him with entitlements capable of running the free world from day one. He’s obviously a fine public speaker and really knows how to say all the right things, but maybe that’s simply because he knows what we want to hear.
And last, but not least, it bugs me the way he carefully pronounces Pakiiiieeestaan and Tallllliiieeebaaan…. what are we, French?
[sorry if this offends you in any way, but my political views and values aren’t really for your social acceptance]
